our story

In early January of 2024, Jenny Halseid thought “New year, new me, time to get rid of this anxiety”. Being a Gen Z-er, obviously, the first step was to download a bunch of apps so she could use her phone to become more mindful. However, as a recent graduate, she quickly realised that most apps were either expensive and oversaturated with content, or lacklustre and awkward to use.

Having learnt to code for data analysis purposes during university, and having spent a few weeks building websites for fun, she realised she could fill a gap in the app market by creating beautiful, affordable well-being apps. To ensure the apps actually had the potential to improve people's lives, Jenny convinced Ernest Wong (who is a doctor) to join the team. Now, Ernest spends his limited free time outside the hospital reading research articles, whilst Jenny codes the app features based on the findings. You can read more about us here.

synappro

synappro takes its name from synapses, the small gaps between neurones that enable communication throughout the brain and body.

Building healthy habits can encourage the formation of new synapses, strengthening neural pathways that support overall mental and physical well-being.

our mission

Our mission is to provide beautiful well-being apps that help people to be present in their mind and body. By allowing ourselves to be present, we can help lower our anxiety levels and live more fulfilling, peaceful lives.

At synappro, we believe that well-being products should not be a luxury commodity, but should be easily accessible and understandable to everyone. We are achieving this through minimalistic and intuitive app design; and by providing our apps at an affordable, one-off price.
