science-based wellbeing, designed for real life

what we do

synappro develops a connected ecosystem of apps, sounds, and in-person experiences designed to support everyday wellbeing.

The work is structured across three areas:

Our apps are science-based tools designed to support daily wellbeing.

Our sounds are science-based music designed to regulate, focus, and calm the nervous system.

Our sessions are immersive wellbeing experiences designed for workplaces and public spaces, bringing science-based practices into shared environments.

Together, these form a scalable, evidence-based approach to wellbeing across both individual and shared environments.

What we do

our approach

We believe wellbeing should be simple, accessible, and grounded in evidence. Our work is guided by three principles:

clarity means designing tools that are easy to understand and implement into everyday life.

accessibility means keeping our products affordable and available without unnecessary barriers.

science means building on established research rather than following short-lived ideas.

This approach shapes everything we create, from how our products function to how they are experienced in real-world environments.

Our approach

we prioritise clarity over complexity, accessibility over exclusivity, and evidence over trends

our mission

Our mission is to make science-based wellbeing accessible to everyone, without inflated pricing, misinformation, or unnecessary complexity.

We design apps, sounds, and experiences that translate high-quality scientific research into practical, everyday tools and experiences. Our focus is on clarity, usability, and impact, creating solutions that people can return to consistently rather than relying on one-off interventions.

By removing barriers around cost, complexity, and credibility, we aim to make meaningful wellbeing support available to a wider audience, across both individual and shared environments.

Our mission

our vision

We envision a future where wellbeing is seamlessly integrated into everyday life, embedded within the environments we live, work, and move through.

In this future, wellbeing is not treated as a luxury or an afterthought, but as a fundamental part of how individuals and organisations function. People are able to access evidence-based support in ways that are continuous and intuitive.

Our long-term aim is to contribute to a world where environments themselves support how people feel, think, and function over time.

Our vision

we envision a future where science-based wellbeing is part of everyday life, accessible to everyone, and built into the environments where we live, work, and move through

our story

synappro began in early 2024, at a time when Jenny Halseid's mental health was so low she couldn't leave her flat.

As an unemployed recent graduate, she couldn't afford therapy, so she turned to wellness apps for support. She quickly realised the market was broken: the apps were charging expensive yearly subscriptions, they were based on pseudoscience, and they tracked your personal data.

She decided to start coding herself to build the products she needed. The goal was simple: to create wellbeing apps that are free to use, based on science, and confidential.

Since then, synappro has grown beyond apps. In 2026, the company expanded into sounds and sessions, bringing wellness into busy spaces, meeting people where they are.

Our story

our expertise

What began as a personal need is supported by a strong foundation in science, music, and technology.

Jenny Halseid holds a BA in music production and sound engineering and an MSc in the psychology and neuroscience of music, where she specialised in anxiety. Her work is shaped by both research and lived experience, alongside a deep understanding of how music can influence the nervous system.

When she founded synappro, she taught herself to design and build apps and websites from scratch. She is currently completing a level 6 diploma in machine learning, where she'll spend a year developing modern tech solutions under the synappro brand.

synappro is also shaped by medical expertise through Dr Ernest Wong, a medical doctor and statistician with a diploma in medical education. His role is to ensure that the research behind synappro's products is carefully evaluated and grounded in high-quality evidence, while making complex findings clear and accessible.

Together, this combination of lived experience, scientific understanding, and technical ability allows synappro to build products that are both evidence-based and genuinely helpful.

synappro name

synappro takes its name from synapses, the small gap between neurones that enables communication throughout the brain and body.

The name reflects three core ideas:

synap — connection. the linking of systems, signals, and experiences.

app — tools. accessible, practical solutions designed for everyday use.

pro — progress. building stronger habits, pathways, and outcomes over time.

Together, synappro represents the connection between science, technology, and human wellbeing.

Building healthy habits can encourage the formation of new synapses, strengthening neural pathways that support overall mental and physical well-being.
