Privacy Policy for synappro breathe

Effective Date: 9 April 2026

SYNAPPRO LTD ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the synappro breathe app ("App") handles information.

Our approach is simple: we design synappro breathe to collect and process as little personal data as possible. Where data does leave your device, it is anonymous, optional, and clearly disclosed below.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The App saves the following information locally on your device:

• Breathing cycles (may sync via iCloud if signed into multiple devices with the same Apple ID)
• Activity data, including session history and mood entries, if you have enabled these features (may sync via iCloud)
• Reminder times (device-specific only, not synced)
• App preferences such as dark mode and accent colour (synced across your devices via iCloud)

We cannot access this data. Removing the App from your device deletes the local copy.

2. iCloud Synchronisation

If you are signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID on multiple devices, Apple's iCloud service automatically syncs the following:

• Breathing cycles
• Session history and mood entries (if consistency tracking or mood logging is enabled)
• App preferences, including your settings for consistency tracking, mood logging, and anonymous analytics

• We do not control this process; it is managed by Apple.
• We cannot access your iCloud account or the synced data.
• Reminder schedules remain local to each device.
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.

The App functions fully without iCloud; iCloud simply adds the convenience of cross-device synchronisation.

For details, see Apple's iCloud security overview.

3. Apple Health Integration

With your permission, synappro breathe can write "Mindful Minutes" into the Apple Health app.

• The App can only write this data.
• We can never read or retrieve Apple Health information.
• Once written, the data is stored securely by Apple and is visible only to you through Apple Health.
• You can manage or delete Mindful Minutes data directly in the Apple Health app at any time.

This integration is optional and exists solely for your benefit.

4. Optional Activity Features

synappro breathe includes two optional activity features that you can enable or disable at any time in Settings:

Consistency tracking — records the date and duration of your breathing sessions locally on your device and syncs them via iCloud. This data is used only to display your streak and session history within the App. When disabled, no session data is recorded or stored anywhere.

Mood logging — allows you to log how you feel before and after each session. Mood entries are stored locally and synced via iCloud. When disabled, no mood data is recorded or stored anywhere.

When consistency tracking or mood logging is enabled, a summary of that session data is also sent anonymously to our secure database — the same way anonymous analytics data is handled (see Section 5). This includes session dates and durations for consistency tracking, and mood scores for mood logging. This data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally. You can prevent this by disabling the relevant feature in the Activity tab — tap the gear icon in the top right corner — in which case no data is recorded or transmitted anywhere.

5. Anonymous Analytics

With your consent, the App sends a small amount of anonymous usage data to our secure database after each session. This is optional and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Privacy and data.

When enabled, we collect:

• Which breathing cycle was used
• Number of repetitions
• Animation style selected
• Whether the session was completed
• Approximate session duration (bucketed, e.g. "5–15 minutes")
• Device type (iPhone or iPad)
• App version
• Colour theme and display mode (light, dark, or system)

We also record an anonymous identifier derived from your iCloud account to group your sessions together. This identifier is opaque, cannot be used to identify you, and is not shared with or meaningful to any third party.

We never collect your name, email address, location, or any information that could identify you personally. This data is used solely to understand how the App is used in practice, so we can improve it for everyone.

When anonymous analytics is disabled, no session data is sent to our servers. We also separately record a single entry noting which of your three optional settings are enabled or disabled — this helps us understand how many users opt in or out of each feature. This entry is equally anonymous and contains no personal information.

6. Crash Reports and Diagnostics

We do not collect crash reports or technical diagnostics directly. However:

• If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your device's system settings, Apple may provide us with anonymised crash reports through App Store Connect.
• These reports help us identify bugs and improve stability.
• Reports contain no personal data and cannot be linked to you.

7. Children's Privacy

synappro breathe collects no personal data. The optional anonymous analytics described above cannot be used to identify any individual, including children. To comply with international regulations such as COPPA, we treat the App as not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and wish to raise a concern, please contact us.

8. Security

Your data is protected by:

• Apple's encryption in transit and at rest for iCloud sync
• Your device's built-in protections (such as passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID)
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data sent to our analytics database

While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

9. Your Rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

• Access the data we may hold
• Request correction or deletion
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability

Because synappro breathe stores most data only on your device or in your personal iCloud account, and any analytics data we hold is fully anonymous, most standard GDPR access and deletion requests are best handled directly on your device. To manage or delete your data:

• Delete the App from your device (removes local data)
• Manage your iCloud storage in Apple settings (removes synced session and mood data)
• Disable anonymous analytics in Settings → Privacy and data (stops future data collection)

If you contact us, we will explain what we can and cannot directly manage, and help guide you through your options.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the version on our website and within the App. Please check periodically for updates.
